The invention of Hungarian university students gives the blind readers a feeling of reading by being able to read it with a smart gloves – the inventors told the actual channel M1 on Saturday.
The glove and the related smartphone application make it possible to read any printed text as if it were Braille writing – said Ádám Fülöp, GlovEye project manager, software developer.
Krisztián Klinkó, a hardware developer, founder, said the idea came to mind on a bus when he saw a vision-impaired person using the standard-reader application while still struggling hard. The development started in February this year, and the concept was presented at a scientific conference in May.
According to Ádám Fülöp, the product can be sold commercially by the beginning of summer, and prototype development has cost hundreds of thousands of HUF.
