A new record was set up by Norwegian airline Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner when it was flying over the Atlantic in just over five hours and arrived from New York to London. The machine reached 776 miles, or nearly 1249 kilometers per hour. The length of the road was 3458 miles, or 5565 kilometers.
Specifically, the Norwegian DY7014 flight on Monday made it 5 hours 13 minutes from the John F. Kennedy International Airport in London Gatwick, 53 minutes earlier than the scheduled date.
The previous record was held by a British Airways flight, which missed the same flight in January 2015 for five hours and 16 minutes.
Harold van Dam, the first Norwegian pilot who set up the record, told the Daily Mail that if the turbulence had not prevented them, they would have been targeted even sooner.
