Chelsea FC’s football team will return to London on Friday afternoon due to bad weather following Thursday’s European League match in Greece.
According to Sky Sports, the late-night flight was canceled, so the head coach of Maurizio Sarri had to spend the night in Thessaloniki and came home only 48 hours before Sunday’s West Ham United championship match.
Chelsea won 1-0 in PAOK’s home. Sarri said after a defeat to an English team that the European League play was a serious one, since after a Thursday match in Italy, they will only have to play in the championship on Monday night, but in the Premier League they have to play again within 63 hours.
In the second match of Group L, Vidi FC beat 2-0 from Belarus’s BATE Borisov at Groupama Arena.
