Although Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s big day are out there, the wedding fever has long prevailed over the nation. This does not prove much better than The Terrace Restaurant and Tea Rooms, which is a royal menu that can be enjoyed between 1 and 21 May.
According to owner Ehab and Rowena Shouly, the menu will reflect the couple’s taste. One of the main gaps is seswaa, a traditional meat bacon in Botswana. This was where Prince Harry found the perfect stone for Meghan’s engagement ring. Then there is the Turkish meatballs that came to the menu because Meghan told Delish in his 2016 interview that this dish reminds her home.It is said that Meghan’s favorite foods include Canadian poutine and nicoise salad. The former fried potatoes with cheese and a Canadian sauce. Nicoise salad or Nice salad is a French food, usually made from beans, tuna and capers.
As for dessert, guests can choose between Botswana’s Malva Pudding or Banana Loaf, which is rumored to be the couple’s wedding cake. Malva pudding is a sponge-like cake with a peach jam.
In addition to getting to know Meghan and Harry’s favorites, Shouly has confirmed that the revenue from the menu helps Prince Harry’s charity work to support the mental health and well-being of HIV-infected children and young people in Lesotho and the Republic of Botswana, South Africa.
