This year the Hungarian Folk Day focuses on the common cultural heritage of Central Europe, which will be held on September 15 and 16 in Martonvásár.

The culture of Central European countries has many similarities, so this year’s V4 countries, Czechs, Slovaks and Poles will be together with Hungarian traditions – said Tibor Szabó, mayor of the city, the event Tuesday, Budapest press conference.
Tamas Kunos musician, the art director of the festival, explained that the most important goal of the five year-old festival was to bring the Hungarian folk traditions closer to the younger generation. Every year, they are trying to find performers who play music on their concerts based on the freshness of the spirit and the sound of the Hungarian culture.
