Morgana King, a jazz singer, married Bruno’s character, Carmela Corleone, in the greatest American cult, The Godfather.
King died at Palm Springs in California, aged 87. Don Vito played Corleone’s wife in the First and Second Part of the Godfather, then featured in the 1998 Brooklyn State of Mind and All Me Children Soap opera.
He was primarily a jazz singer, recording three albums for Frank Sinatra’s Reprise label.
He was born in New York in 1930, from Sicilian parents. About His Role In The Godfather movies he said:
I’ve been a singer for 26 years, and I’m always making a show. Virtually all my life was for this role. Two years ago, I read Mario Puzo’s novel, and I knew I should be in the movie.
