Great Britain is estimated to have about 9 million lonely people, including many elderly people, so a minister, Tracey Crouch, has been appointed to deal with the problem.
Even more than 9 million, there are at least 200,000 elderly Britons who have not been talking to anyone, relatives or friends for at least a month. According to the research, 85 percent of young people with disabilities feel lonely.
Prime Minister Theresa May, in particular, considered the situation of the elderly desperate, which he believes is a negative impact of modern life, but he is confident of developing a strategy. Details of the plan will be made public in the coming months.
