Scots in the ice water of the Forth River

On the New Year’s Day, according to Scottish traditions, the Scots are destined for a bit crazy stunt, practicing almost everywhere in the ice-water, whether it be sea, ocean or just a river.

The queensferry Loony Dook, which is located on a spit from Edinburgh, is a real spectacle, for the participants are also making fun costumes for a fabulous occasion. The cloudless entertainment is clearly evident in the photos as well, and we do not think anyone would be disturbed by the not exactly ideal bathing temperature.
