Originally, on April 15th, a demonstration on Sunday was announced on Kossuth Square on “Talpra magyar, hívj szabadság” on 19:55.
On Tuesday afternoon, the event was brought forward one day by the organizers. It will be Saturday at 17.30 and the venue will change: it will be at the Opera House.
Description of the event announced after the election:
“WHAT WOULD YOU NEED HUNGARY, WHAT IS THE IMPROVED POLICY WHO WAS LIVING IN THE FUNCTION OF AIRCRAFT”
By Wednesday morning, 25,000 reported that they would surely be there and 66,000 would be interested.
One organizer wrote in a post on the purpose of the demonstration:
We need to make our decision about the future, not an unequal election system. In such a situation the crowd is our answer.
We want to pursue a meaningful discourse instead of hate campaigning and invasion.
Independent country needs independent press. In the digital age media are the biggest trump card in power, boycotting propaganda media.
In our generation, there are two opportunities for young people: Emigration or Revolution. We chose!
Let’s not let the concept of current power and the current government collapse. The 2/3 laws must be abolished and no US can continue to exercise power over two cycles.
There is no country without young people, no future.
This election was not only about four years, this choice of eastern orientation, the ultimate finishing of the illiberal state.
