Marc and Lynne Benioff, the co-founder of Salesforce Cloud Computing, are owned by American Time magazine, “Wall Street Journal” reported on Sunday.
Merchandise, Inc., Meredith Corp., just eight months after purchasing Time Magazine, now sells $ 190 million to the Benioff couple. The deal was announced on Sunday evening and it was announced that the sale took place within 30 days. The Wall Street Journal quoted Marc Benioff, who said, “We are investing in a company that has a fantastic impact on the world and an incredibly powerful business.” The prospective owner is also optimistic about Time’s number and expanding video services.
The Benioff couple said he did not want to buy more media and would not be involved in the daily editorial work of Time Magazine.
Analysts note: Benioff is not the first to seek investment from the world of computing in the traditional press world. In 2013, Jeff Bezos, owner and CEO of the Amazon Web Store, purchased the newspaper The Washington Post, last year, Laurene Powell Jobs, the widow of Steve Jobs, an Apple co-founder, Steve Jobs, in 2011, acquired majority stake in Atlantic magazine. “It’s common for everyone to believe in journalism,” he told The Wall Street Journal in response to the rumor of Robin Steinberg’s media analyst, Time Sales.
