For the fans’ greatest pleasure, we are sure that a feature film will be made following the successful British TV series Downton Abbey – the BBC said.
According to the producers, the shooting works will start in the summer with the “original protagonists” of the series.
The screenplay of the film is featured by the filmmaker, Julian Fellowes, who is also co-producer of the works. The director will be Brian Percival (A book thief, About a Girl, Downton Abbey’s pilot). Gareth Neame is a producer.
The last, sixth year of the British aristocracy’s life from 1912 to 1926 on staff views ended in 2015. Since then, fans have been entrusted to see the story and the actors on the film screen.
The series of the aristocratic Crawley family and the lives of their caretakers won the critics’ recognition as well as the public. Costume drama has also been a huge success in the United States, broadcasting it in more than 200 countries including Australia, Russia and China.
