Rio da Prata’s ecological park, known for its crystal-clear waters, its lush rainforest and its special fauna and flora, is nestled in one of Brazil’s most beautiful nature conservation areas. The park in Mato Grosso do Sul is one of the most popular destinations for hikers and divers. A region full of impressive sights means the beacon of Brazilian ecotourism.
Recently there have been heavy rains in the area, resulting in the rivers Rio da Prata and Olho D’Água that steep out of the basin and flooded this hiking trail.
The rainforest under water became a real news story, and the staff of the park produced a short video. The unusual sight could not be admired for a long time, and the waters of the rivers were withdrawn by the end of the day.
